Zoals reeds aangekondigd, gaat een delegatie van de DVS begin oktober naar het Internationale Altvioolcongres in Cremona. Voor het thuispubliek geven we een try-out van de nederlandse bijdragen aan dit congres:

In het voorjaar van 2016 is er bij Codarts in Rotterdam een speciaal project gehouden om de compositiestudenten nieuwe muziek te laten schrijven voor altviool. De beste stukken zijn uitgekozen om bij het IVC in Cremona uitgevoerd te worden door altvioolstudenten van het Koninklijk Conservatorium en Codarts.

Opmerking: In Cremona wordt ook het stuk “Thoughts of Theft” van Viola Rossi utgevoerd, waarin zij zelf zingt samen met 2 altviolen. Viola is echter niet beschikbaar voor deze try-out.
Let op: Grote verkeersdrukte verwacht rondom Den Haag dit weekend, ivm een aantal grote evenementen en ook wegwerkzaamheden op de A12. Kom met het OV als het even kan!

As previously announced, in October a delegation of the Dutch Viola Society will attend the International Viola Congress in Cremona. For the home audience, we give a try-out of the Dutch contributions to this congress:

In the spring of 2016, the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam conducted a special project for the composition students, to write music for viola. The best works were selected to be performed by viola students from Codarts and the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.

Remark: In Cremona, the piece “Thoughts of Theft” by Viola Rossi will also be performed, for jazzy soprano and 2 violas. She herself then sings the soprano part, but she is unfortunately not available for the try-out.
Please note: Very busy traffic is expected in and around The Hague this weekend due to a number of large events in the area and roadwords at the A12. It is recommended to travel by public transport if possible!
