Op zaterdag 18 februari 2017 organiseerde de DVS voor de 3e keer een Nationale Altvioolbijeenkomst. Anders dan de twee voorgaande edities (2013 in Deventer, 2015 in het Akoesticum, Ede) was dit evenement relatief kleinschalig, in samenwerking met, en ingebouwd in het programma van, de Amsterdam Viola Festival. Deze bijeenkomst vond plaats in Splendor (link) – Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 116 te Amsterdam.

Programma:

16.30 Kleine zaal: Lezing door vioolbouwer Jan van der Elst over het onderhoud van de altviool (in het engels)

17.15 Kleine zaal: DVS Viola Pitch
De DVS presenteert zichzelf en de plannen voor het IVC Rotterdam 2018.
Verder nog 2 minuten spreektijd voor ieder die wil: Een hartekreet, een wens, een passie, een projectvoorstel, een goede anecdote of altvioolmop.

18.00 Foyer: Altvioolbuffet (inclusief voor DVS-vrienden; drankjes voor eigen rekening)

19.00 Grote Zaal: Concert door jong altviooltalent van 7 t/m 17 jaar

19.00 Zolder: Viola Lounge, ontspannen op de bank bij heerlijke relaxte altvioolmuziek… door altviolisten uit het hele land (inclusief DVS-vrienden!).

20.00 Grote Zaal: Avondconcert met onder andere:

• De beste uitvoering van het Mozart-Duo voor viool en altviool, uit de 1e ronde van het Nationaal Altvioolconcours
• De beste uitvoering van het nieuwe werk voor altviool solo van Oene van Geel, uit de 1e ronde van het Nationaal Altvioolconcours
• Diverse altvioolensembles van de conservatoria van Amsterdam en Rotterdam
• Het resultaat van de improvisatieworkshop van Oene van Geel
• Fluitpartita van Bach door altvioliste Saeko Oguma
• UItvoering stukjes uit Mozart’s Zauberflöte, door groot altvioolorkest

Voor het buffet (18:00u):
GRATIS voor DVS-vrienden, € 5.00  voor overigen

Voor het Avondconcert (20:30u):
€ 10.00  voor Studenten en DVS-vrienden, € 12.50  voor overigen

Overige programma-onderdelen zijn gratis toegankelijk voor iedereen.

On Saturday, Feb 18th 2017 the DVS organised the 3rd National Viola Assembly. Whereas the two previous editions (2013 in Deventer, 2015 in Akoesticum, Ede) were full-day Congresses, this was a more small-scale event, organised in collaboration with, and within the context of the Amsterdam Viola Festival.

The event took place in Splendor (link) – Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 116 te Amsterdam.

Programme:

16.30 Small auditorium: Lecture (in English!) by luthier Jan van der Elst about viola maintenance.

17.15 DVS Viola Pitch:
The DVS presents itself and the plans for the IVC Rotterdam 2018.
Furthermore everyone who wants gets 2 minutes of “pitching time” to promote his/her ideas, or simply to tell a good anecdote or a viola joke.

18.00 Foyer: Viola Buffet (inclusive for DVS Friends; drinks at your own cost).

19.00 Large auditorium: Concert by young viola talents from 7 to 17 years old

19.00 Attic: Viola Lounge, relaxing to viola music played by violists from the whole country (including DVS-friends!).

20.00 Large auditorium: Evening Concert consisting of:

• The best rendition of a Mozart-Duo for violin/viola, from the 1st round of the National Viola Competition
• The best rendition of the new commissioned work for viola solo by Oene van Geel, from the 1st round of the National Viola Competition
• Viola ensembles from the conservatories of Amsterdam and Rotterdam
• Results from the improvisation workshop van Oene van Geel
• Bach Flute partita by violist  Saeko Oguma
• Fragments from Mozart’s Magic Flute, performed by large viola orchestra

For the Viola buffet (18:00):
FREE for DVS friends, € 5.00 for everyone else

For the Evening Concert (20:30):
€ 10.00  for Students and DVS friends, € 12.50  for everyone else
It is not possible to reserve concert tickets, payment in cash at the entrance.
